It was a rare opportunity for more than 70 SHHK members and their families who embarked on a tour of Singapore’s southern islands on 24 Sep 17. Organized by SHHK Youth Group, the tour took participants to Semakau Landfill, Pulau Hantu, The Sisters’ Islands and Kusu Island, some of which are only accessible via private ferry.
The first stop of the tour was Semakau Landfill. Our special appreciation to National Environmental Agency for hosting the tour of one of Singapore’s most important and critical development.
After the tour of Semakau, participants were ferried to Pulau Hantu where they had picnic lunch on a quiet beach with a breathtaking sea view. Silence on the island was broken when team bonding activities were organized.
Participants then continued with the tour to The Sisters’ Islands, followed by Kusu Island, where they explored the flora and fauna of the former and the culture and heritage of the latter.
An enriching full day event it was for the participants.
