“SHHK Family Day 2023: Hokkien Clans Heritage Hunt” Rules and Regulations

1. Organiser

Singapore Hokkien Huay Kuan (SHHK)

2. Objective

a) To promote goodwill and fellowship among Singapore citizens and permanent residents who can trace their ancestry to Fujian Province, China.

b) To preserve and advance the Chinese language and Chinese culture, including the Hokkien heritage and culture.

c) To promote and advance the cause of education in Singapore.

d) To promote, support and/or participate in any community service or charitable activities as the Association may decide from time to time without any distinction as to race, language or religion.

3. Event Date

4 & 5 November 2023
9:30am to 5pm

4. Eligibility

a) Event is open to SHHK active members and family.

b) Each team must include at least two generations, e.g. parent & child, grandparent & grandchild, uncle/aunt & nephew/niece, etc.

c) Each SHHK member can form a team with a maximum of 4 family members (toddlers under 2 years old can participate and will not take up the quota).

d) Participants registering via Hokkien clans must adhere to the above-mentioned rules for team formation.

5. Registration

a) SHHK members can register online here:

b) Register early to receive a $5 NTUC Voucher (Limited to the first 100 SHHK members!)

c) SHHK members can also register in person on site at the game stations via the QR code.

d) Members of Hokkien clans, please approach your clan for more information and register with them in advance. On-site registration will not be accepted. The organiser will only accept the list of participants provided by the Hokkien clans.

6. How to Play and Win

a) Each team must visit the game stations together. The team will receive an exquisite gift/voucher upon completion of a quiz and game on site.

b) After the activity, team members can take a group shot with station volunteers and upload the photo to a designated Google Form.

c) Teams who completed 20 game stations and uploaded 20 group shots will be eligible for the lucky draw and stand a chance to win the grand prize of $1000 in cash.

Lucky Draw Prizes:
• 1st Prize: $1,000
• 2nd Prize: $500
• 3rd Prize: $300
• 17 Consolation Prizes: 7 prizes of $200 each & 10 prizes of $100 each

7. Event Updates & Livestream

a) Singapore Hokkien Huay Kuan will be sharing more information, including specified location of event stations, via Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/singaporehokkienhuaykuan. Follow us on Facebook for the latest event updates.

b) During the event on 4 November at 12pm, Singapore Hokkien Huay Kuan will be live-streaming from the game stations via Facebook Live. You definitely do not want to miss this one!
