About The Building

In the 1950s, Huay Kuan chairmen Tan Lark Sye and Lee Kong Chian each donated $200,000 to build a 6-storey Hokkien Huay Kuan Building opposite Thian Hock Keng Temple to house its activities and also to serve as the campuses for Ai Tong and Chongfu schools in the early days. The current 8-storey commercial building was subsequently erected in 2003.
